Joe Ludwig for California State Assembly 2012

About Joe

A Riverside resident since 1991, Joe Ludwig has spent a great deal of that time developing an understanding of the issues facing Riverside County and the people that live here. That is why since 1998 Joe has served on the Riverside County Republican Central Committee, where he seeks to put principled leaders and solid policies in place for the county.

The only child of a single mother, Joe developed a love of history and politics at a young age. His political activity started at Riverside Community College in the 1990s, where Joe served as Chairman of the campus' College Republicans, and has continued ever since. It is also what led him to continue his education, as Joe graduated cum laude from California Baptist University in 2010 with a degree in political science and in 2011 with his Masters of Public Administration degree.

Joe has worked in both the public and private sectors, searching for employment that gives him a chance to solve problems and help others. Since 2002, he has worked at Smith+Noble, a window treatment company based in Corona. As an hourly employee, Joe understands the challenges facing those who live paycheck to paycheck.

Joe and his wife Mary Lou have been married since 2006 and live in Riverside. They are members of Eden Lutheran Church, where Joe serves on the church council and Mary Lou is President of the Women's Association. Joe enjoys watching and attending local sporting events, reading historical and political novels, and bowling.
