| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 5, 2011 Contact: Johanna Chavis (951) 732-1625 Local GOP Elected Official Joe Ludwig Announces Candidacy for State Assembly (Riverside, CA)-Joe Ludwig, a popularly elected member of the Riverside County Republican Central Committee since 1998, today formally announced his candidacy for the new 61st Assembly District located in Riverside County. The district includes the cities of Riverside, Moreno Valley and Perris, along with the communities of Mead Valley, Highgrove, and March Air Reserve Base. "For too long Sacramento has avoided the tough questions and difficult decisions that need to be made. The 'solutions' coming from the Governor and the Legislature today, however, are more of the same. We need someone to put forth common-sense policies that benefit all Californians. I intend to do just that." A Riverside resident since 1991, Ludwig attended Riverside Community College prior to completing his Bachelors Degree at California Baptist University, where he is currently finishing a Masters of Public Administration Degree. Ludwig has worked in both the public and private sectors, and currently is employed by Smith+Noble, a window treatment retailer located in Corona. "As an hourly employee," says Ludwig, "I understand the challenges facing those living paycheck to paycheck." "Joe Ludwig will be a great Assemblyman" states Alvord School District Trustee Greg Kraft. "His political experience, understanding of the issues facing California today, and willingness to think outside the box to solve problems will allow him to hit the ground running in Sacramento." Joe and his wife Mary Lou have been married since 2006 and live in Riverside. For more information, visit www.joeludwig.com. |
